Specialist Schools
In September 2008, St Anthony’s School were delighted to be awarded Specialist School Status in SEN (Communication and Interaction). Specialist School Status has enabled the school to become a regional focal point for providing high quality training and support for children and adults with Communication and Interaction difficulties.
Specialist Status allows St. Anthony's School to:- *Provide resources, staffing and facilities that offer, training and support to local schools and the community in Communication and Interaction. *Raise standards for pupils in Literacy, Numeracy and PSHE across the whole school. *Extend curriculum opportunities so that all pupils can achieve regardless of needs or ability. *Further develop strong partnerships and collaborative work with local businesses, schools and colleges.
The school would like to thank Community Partners for their support and the 'Bassil Shippam & Alsford Charitable Trust' who donated the sponsorship funding to enable the school to apply for Specialist School Status .
